Hoodies and stuff

Well the hoodies have finally arrived! We had a little trouble with the shipping, so are a bit late, sorry. These are some well traveled hoodies I tell ya! They have pretty much been to every state before they finally made their way here (got lost in the mail)! Anyways, main thing is they made it and they look pretty damn good, if we do say so ourselves!

I am so gangsta this week, I am not really sure why but there ya go. This is what they look like on and this is me doing duck face:D

Aaaaaaand the front. Also we have our Senjafuda on the arm sleeve too!

So I have had a few people call and email wanting me to send them out from Adelaide. This is totally fine but if you do need me to send you one, it will have to be before Thursday this week (we head overseas Friday for 7 weeks). So drop me an email with your name, phone number and address details and I can get them off as soon as Thursday. If not you will just have to wait till we get back :P (assuming there is any left, these bad boys are selling like hot cakes!)

They are $50 ea, plus postage. You can pay by credit card over the phone, paypal or bank transfer. I will provide details via email.

In other breaking news, Matt is going to be working the Melbourne Tattoo Expo, September 16-18, so that should be pretty sweet! If you want to get tattooed then you can send an email to progressiontattoo@hotmail.com, otherwise just show up and say hello anyway. For details about the convention please go to the website:  http://www.tattooexpo.com.au/

Ok, that's it.

This turkey is back from Turkey

So as the title suggests this turkey is back from Turkey and what an amazing time I did have! If you have ever considered a trip to Turkey I would highly recommend you do it. Awesome place, people are wonderful and the food is to die for. Loved it! I can't wait to get back there!

Me on top of Mount Emla (3724m). I think we walked 160km over 3 weeks, crazy!

And on the home front the guys have been very busy indeed (sorry guys). The shop has been flat out the past few weeks. But not so flat out we can't fit people in! It has come to our attention that there are rumors floating about that we have an 18 month waiting list to get in with any of our artists. I just wang to set the record straight that this is untrue! Yes, when we first opened Matt had an 18 month wait time because he was the only artist we had and had a massive back log of work to get through. He has  now caught up on all that and we share the work amongst 3 artists now, so there is no longer a long waiting period.  So for appointments with Jamie and Simone (depending on what you want), the most you would have to wait is 2-3 weeks. For Matt about 6 weeks.

In saying that Matt and I are heading to Bali and Japan next week. So we will be away from 29th July and will not get back to work until the 19th of September. So anyone with ongoing work, sorry, it will have to wait until we return (but I think we have made most people aware of this). Anyone wanting anything new can send me an email and I will be checking it while I am in Japan. We can then get you sorted as soon as we get back. I am hoping to blog while we are over in Japan, so stay tuned to hear about all the travels and tattooing!

If you do call the shop during this time, please, please leave a message, as the guys will not always be able to  answer the phone.

Ok so that's all the house keeping stuff. Now the tattoo's! So today we went into the shop because we had a "photo day". We had our mate Adam come in to take a whole bunch of shots of Matt's work. As you are probably aware by now, Matt and I are shockingly bad at taking pics (plus the shop is so damn dark). So we thought it best to get someone who actually knows what the hell they are doing to come in and do it for us. So hopefully we will have some nice pics to post soon.

In between the professional shots I took some on my mobile (which worked out kind of ok). Some of them you have seen before but at least these shots are all healed. So some pics I took today:

And this morning Matt squeezed our favorite funny man Tom in for some knuckle tattoo's. I just felt like taking pics
Mark's finished dragon all healed

Mark's other arm, done a little while back

Don't think we have ever had pics of this one,  Jayd's camera on the back of his neck

And Danielle's dragon was done way back when but just needed a little touch up before we got some pics

Shaun's leg all healed
Mr Snake on Matt (Bottom half of arm not by Matt)
Amanda's sugar skull
And then some work Jamie and Simone have done lately:

Ok, so that's it for now. Sorry for the delay in the blog, I am sure everyone has forgotten us by now.

Oh and don't forget we do post a lot of work in Instagram, so if your interested in seeing work more often get on it!

State of the Art 2011

Such a great weekend, had great fun and met some great people. Just can't wait to work the next one now! Want to tell everyone to check out:
http://www.tattoohq.co.uk/ - Chris and Brenden did some stunning work over the weekend and were really friendly guys.

http://www.facebook.com/Diamondinkts - Faye was working next to us and helped us out loads. She started and Finished a cowgirl pin up over the convention that ended up looking sweet. I also got to do a little tattoo on Elsa the piercer there, great studio up in Sheffield.

http://www.twistedinktattoo.co.uk/ - We met Chardaine, Jamma Dodger and Jack at the pre show party and was great to talk tattoos to. They did some big work over the weekend and there's a lot of good stuff to look at on the website.

http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=196217949072 - I tattooed Adam and his apprentice Kelly with a couple of small tattoos. Another great studio who were set up along our row. Adam did some really nice fun tattoos, and it was a great way to end by tattooing him.

Everyone we met were a pleasure to talk to, from other tattooists to customers to people just stopping by, was a really friendly atmosphere which carried on throughout the weekend.

Unfortunately we didn't take a picture of every tattoo we did but here's a couple

Summer piercing deal!

So along with out Facebook fan page deal, our local friendly piercer Alice is offering a loyalty card scheme with piercings. It is usually get 4 and have the 5th for free, but until the end of August she is offering every third piercing for free! You can share the card with your friends, or keep it all to yourself, but pay for 2 piercings and get number 3 for nothing. Just phone up the shop to see when she's in and then come pick up your loyalty card.

Eva has also started her own blog so for just her work, have a look at http://evatattoo.blog.com/

And just a reminder, next weekend we will be working at the State of the Art convention in Derby, and unfortunately we will be shut on Friday and on the Saturday.

And here's what we've been up to in the shop;

This is the start of a half sleeve designed by Jo, there's going to be some clouds and heavenly gates added to it along with some doves.

Managed to finish Christian's Rose, and will get started on the next one soon. Only managed to get a camera phone picture, sorry for the quality.

And I got to start off the week with this drag queen pin up on Teagan. Going to put colour in it later on and we're getting started on another on the other foot on thursday.
